It's Party Time! Summer 2008
Fine jewellery is synonymous with celebrations and Boodles love a good party. It is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with our clients and meet new friends and to thank people for their support.
A show stopping collection like Wonderland needed more than one party and so we proceeded to organise them all over the United Kingdom.
London hosted a glittering event at the fabulous Haymarket Hotel. Bejewelled ballerinas danced the night away around a flower festooned pool, to the uplifting music of Jackson Scott and Mano de Dios. The room was bustling and the dance floor was crowded and those who wanted to relax were happy to have a sparkling make over at the Bobbi Brown area.
Other cities followed suit with cocktail parties galore in Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and Dublin.
The Wonderland pieces also made a guest appearance at the magical event to celebrate Liverpool's year as Capital of Culture. Nicholas Wainwright hosted a fabulous evening of Shakespeare at Knowsley Hall. The gardens were filled with neon bright flowers and bird and butterfly decorations, RADA performed perfectly and Fortnum & Mason picnics provided hours of entertainment and rather scrumptious suppers. At the end of the evening Lord Derby kindly made a super speech and revealed that Knowsley Hall was the place where Shakespeare himself first started writing. It truly was the perfect venue.
From one magnificent home to another, this time the British Ambassador's residence in Dublin - Glencairn. David Reddaway's summer party always attracts a glamorous crowd and they proved to be the perfect guests to present Wonderland to.
Soon it will be the Festive Season and as we hurtle towards Christmas, Boodles' Social Diary just gets busier! Look out for the next instalment.

British Ambassador's Summer Party in Dublin July 2008
This year Boodles will once again be sponsoring British Ambassador David Reddaway's Summer Party in the grounds of his magnificent Glencairn residence in Dublin. The 19th century garden, which lies at the foothills of the Wicklow mountains, is the perfect backdrop for Boodles latest designs. For the uninitiated, the July bash is a stylish affair. Last year fashion shows, live music and Bentley test drives set the tone for the event, while Boodles aquamarine and diamond Spaghetti ring garnered particular attention: the sparkler was the top prize in a charity competition.
