The Boodles Boxing Ball 2008
Boodles - 7th June 2008
Following the barnburner of the Boodles Boxing Ball in 2006 we are delighted to be back in the ring… this next bout will be on Saturday June 7th 2008. Like before the fighters will be weighing in at The Royal Lancaster Hotel but this time on an even more impressive scale.
Six boys and two girls from the London social scene have been honing their power punches over a six month period to become amateur boxers, ready to fight in front of a crowd of 1000 young socialites.
The glittering evening will begin with drinks, dinner and an auction. Then the serious business starts with four fights fought in the centre of the ballroom. Following this, the dancing begins in Kitts Nightclub which has been exclusively set up in the hotel for the night.
In 2006, £70,000 was raised for the children’s medical research charity SPARKS. This time we are helping the ‘STARLIGHT FOUNDATION’ which grants wishes for terminally ill children. We are firmly committed to maintaining this biennial ball as the largest and best known charity boxing event in the UK raising ever larger sums for charity.
The 2006 event produced extensive international media coverage. The front page of the Daily Telegraph and prominently in early pages in The Times, The Daily Mail, The Daily Express, The Sun, The Daily Star, The Mirror and many glossy magazines including Hello!, OK! and Tatler. It was also mentioned numerous times on the television and radio including BBC News.

British Ambassador's Summer Party in Dublin
July 2008
This year Boodles will once again be sponsoring British Ambassador David Reddaway's Summer Party in the grounds of his magnificent Glencairn residence in Dublin. The 19th century garden, which lies at the foothills of the Wicklow mountains, is the perfect backdrop for Boodles latest designs. For the uninitiated, the July bash is a stylish affair. Last year fashion shows, live music and Bentley test drives set the tone for the event, while Boodles aquamarine and diamond Spaghetti ring garnered particular attention: the sparkler was the top prize in a charity competition.
